When can veneers be considered?
Dental veneers are thin restorations placed on the visible surface of selected teeth. They may be considered when someone wants to address aspects such as shape, proportions, certain colour differences or minor visual irregularities. They are not suitable for every mouth. The condition of the teeth, gums, bite and functional habits must be assessed first.
At Harmony Clinic in Marrakech, an aesthetic consultation begins with the person’s concern rather than a predefined smile. In some situations, a more conservative option may be preferable to veneers.
Smile assessment before treatment
The dentist looks at tooth position, proportions, the smile line, gum levels and function. Shade and shape choices should remain coherent with the face and the patient’s expectations. Clinical photographs or additional examinations may be useful for planning when indicated.
The number of teeth involved and the technique used depend on the individual case. No single design or colour can be appropriate for everyone.
Treatment stages and maintenance
Once a treatment plan has been agreed, the clinical stages are organised according to the starting condition. Tooth preparation may be required in some cases, while more conservative approaches may be possible in others. The dentist should explain the intended procedure before treatment starts.
After placement, veneers require daily oral hygiene and regular dental review. Their service life varies with the material, function, habits and maintenance, so a precise duration cannot be promised in advance.
